At a price of $10 for 300 ? Less than 3.5¢ per blade ?
And being the old "larger cutting edge" blade ?
You bet they'll move fast.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Well, $14 plus shipping, but still a great deal. He said he had about 15 boxes total to sell, so looks like he has moved nine boxes already.

Category 2 Hurricane Zeta was a very near miss thankfully I am in Hammond on the west side of the storm (the good side). For the seventh time this year, New Orleans was in the path of a tropical system.

I’ll try to get on again this weekend after my next surgery Friday morning. Lots of cool new stuff on YORF to explore!

Stay safe, Steve! Man, you Gulf Coast folks have REALLY been hammered hard this summer and fall. Hopefully, this will be the last one to pass through.

Glad you got some of those blades...a good deal. And good luck with this next procedure!

There are a few Xacto Items I would like to obtain:
A vintage #99 deluxe set
A vintage #88N "hobby den" set
An original #6L leathercraft handle for the #33 blade
An original #5L handle
A #7kp handle
Pre WWII and prior to 1949 Xacto catalogs.

If anyone has any to part with, I'm interested, especially the catalogs and individual handles mentioned above.

Here is a link to a fairly straightforward but decent older #86 set, but if you look closer at the ‘extra’ #5 handle located outside the box in the photos, one can see it is a rare wooden handled one.

I’ve only seen one other and that was in some phots that ‘Sue’, the eBay Xacto queen’ shared with several of us a few months ago.

I'm still trying to find a #6L and #5L handle.
Thinking that search may be futile as they sold far fewer leathercrafting sets than hobbyist sets.

The collet on the extra #5 wooden handle knife looks to be the same as the collet on my large #6 that came in my #80 Whittlers set which seems to be less common on the aluminum handles.

Also, same report as GH on the (300) Alvin #24 style blades from the seller you kindly gave us the heads up about. An excellent buy for three bulk packs of one of my favorite blades. Same as GH mentioned not quite the factory razor edge of my vintage Xacto #24 blades but I can sharpen with my stone. If I didn’t have original #24 Xacto blades on hand I probably wouldn’t have noticed.

Sue currently has TWO pristine #89 Xacto sets with the "Blonde wood" cabinets available for sale.
I told her I would mention them here in case anyone is interested.
Would make a great Christmas gift for anyone in the Rocketry or R/C hobbies.

Just checked her eBay listings...she does not have them listed there. GH, are these two sets she just has in her possession but not on eBay?
