I would really like to see early pre WWII ones or any during the war.
I have a feeling there was some stuff pre-war that did not exist ever in production after the war.
Really want to identify the time frame of the "big honker" #6 handles.
I now have all 3 types of the "big honker #6" in addition to 3 of the modern #6 handles.

Those old catalogs would be interesting to look at, but you would probably find that a lot of pre-WWII printed matter, like newspapers and magazines, probably got recycled during the war. This fact makes Golden Age comic books rare and expensive today.

Well, when I get these on eBay, I guess I need to stop saying “...in a week or so”. Still waiting for this one to get here. It is doing the ol’ “Atlanta Post Office Shuffle” apparently for the last five days or so. Hopefully it will kick free of there in the next day or so and head this way.

In related postal delivery news, the State of Kansas has recently certified their final mail-in ballot count and now project that all 10 of their electors for the 1904 election will go for Teddy Roosevelt!

You know what's worse than the "Atlanta Post Office Shuffle"? Buying something on eBay that gives you an estimate of 3-5 days to arrive, then you find out that when they finally get around to shipping it a full week later, it's going out on DHL E-Commerce! As Charlie Brown would say, "AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!"

DHL, when it absolutely, positively has to stay "in transit" for a month.

EXACTLY On Dec 4 I bought something(not on Ebay) and received a Paypal email notice a day later that it had been shipped. My USPS app currently shows that it was shipped on Nov 30th and it had arrived on Dec 4.

people can sell things on Ebay, print a mailing label and then not actually put it the system till a week later

The only carriers worse time-wise than DHL is the long-defunct Airborne Distress (Express) and the old Railway Express ( the way E ad F Mini-Max and Enerjet motors had to ship in 60's and 70's).
I'm of the belief that the shipping COMPANIES should have SOLE determination how products should be transported with ZERO regulation by DOT, ATF, FAA, etc other than not while carrying passengers. The current haz-mat charges are nothing but a total RIPOFF SCAMULATION.

Sorry for picking Kansas; it was just a random selection. If I were a politician I'd be saying "Why, I just LOVE all the fine folks of Kansas!!!". Seriously, I've been to Kansas a number of times and found the people there to (truly) be fine people. In all, I was digging mainly at the Post Office.

When it comes to election ballot counting and such however, I guess I should have picked my own state of Georgia! We are ground zero of the political universe right now. TWO senatorial runoff elections on January 5 to decide the power balance of the Senate. I hope the final vote count is not close, regardless (almost) of who wins.
