WOW!!! The nosecone and fin unit on the MAV are spectacular. Especially if the nosecone comes pre-colored.

The nosecone is a really nice homage to the SpaceX Crew Dragon, or the MLAS. And the fin unit is WAY more detailed than even remotely necessary.

That's an amazing amount of new molding for a relatively cheap kit.

Kudos!

+1 to what Steve just said above for the new MAV from Estes.
Looks like a fairly unique but simple build.
I like what Estes is doing related to kits; some oldie/goodie bring-backs, new or re-engineered scale kits, and new unique kits too.

Now if we could get them to add some variety (read that as HIGH-thrust port burning SU BP) to their engine offerings it would be great: i.e. bring back the B14, B8, C5 and add like a D30/E40/F50 booster.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Note that the product page has a “tm” on the Destination Mars name. I’d expect some interesting, new ”Mars” follow-on products. And the text on that page:

The Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) is the first rocket in a new series at Estes, Destination Mars. A truly unique rocket, the MAV will keep you excited about the next steps to landing humans on Mars!

"Imaginations may soar to Mars, but this MAV stays in the earth’s atmosphere, reaching heights of 250 feet on a C6-3 engine."

Rockets are aircraft unless or until they enter space at 100km.

It's not a rocket, Jerry. It's a MAV.

Kudos to Estes for getting ahead of the curve here! If Congress ends up naming our new military space branch as they should - U.S. Space Corps, not Force! - Estes is good since they got there first so the Feds can take their licensing fees and stick ‘em!

Nifty rocket, good to see per the instructions posted on the Estes website that the decals are waterslides.
