Default My Cheap And Dirty Build Thread

I can't really call it a 'SR1340' 'cause that name's already taken, so I'll have to settle on a '1/2 scale SR2650'. Built for 13mm motors using Semroc parts: Series 13 tubes for the main and payload, Series 5 tubes for the motors, a BC137 nose cone and a BTC13 for the coupler. All I need now is for the rain to stop so I can finish the darn thing.

Yeah, good one. So, I figure I'll check back around June?

Hard to believe that just yesterday I was thinking about flying at B6-4 Field tomorrow. Then it sunk again.

At least you're at a point where you can think about flying. I'm not there yet.

I was looking at the forecast Friday, winds were supposed to be in the 15-20 mph range all weekend, but the prediction for Monday was sub 5 mph winds with about 50 degrees. So i figured I might take a day off and head out too a local field.

two days and five inches of snow later have ruined even that plan.

Same here! Even on the nice days, the wind is 15 - 20 mph...

You weren't far off, Bill. I've primed the body and attached the fins. After 1 more round of fillets, I'll prime the whole thing and paint.
