Default Perseverance Rover to Launch Thursday

Our latest Mars rover is preparing for launch early Thursday morning, with a two hour window from 7:50-9:50 EDT. This is our fifty billionth rover, while China (launched last week) and India (2024 after a failed moon shot) think they are special with their first attempts.

In the meantime, The NASA advisory panel is urging caution to SpaceX because reused hardware hasn't been used for human flight. WTH??? Have they forgotten the Space Shuttle already?

Quote from Spaceflightnow.com:
Quote:
“So in this case, Crew-2 will be fully utilizing the SpaceX reuse philosophy,” McErlean said. “Although reuse has been successful in prior launches, the use of previously-flown hardware for a human spaceflight mission is unique, and it will create some additional work for NASA, who must address the human certification requirements.”

Sounds like useless drivel from NASA about reusing hardware.
SpaceX is doing things in a reasonable amount of time like they used to in the 60's through mid 70's.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Boy, talk about forgetting your history VERY quickly! Yeah, that statement is just stupid.
