Default Star Destroyer

Got started on another prototype yesterday. Actually been wanting to do this for a long time!

Again, sorry about the bad pictures. Not my day for holding still.

It is a cardstock (hopefully flyable) version I've been working on.

I ended up putting two small fins on the bottom after looking at the Estes rocket. But, the top is a lot more simple. I thought the Estes version was a bit chunky. So, the command center on top is actually a hollow rectangle.

I never did like the commercial rockets with a foot long tube sticking out. Might end up being completely unstable. Then again, I thought the same thing about the Icarus...

I have often wondered if I could weight the nose enough, on the original Estes, to make it stable, without the long probe. And then if it would be light enough to still fly!

Well i built it and let me say, it looks great! only one suggestion. you should label ALL of the parts. i had trouble figuring out what the bottom fins were. i finally figured it out though. i built mine around a C6-5. probably overkill, but hey, whats it matter? pics to come probabably. also trying to figure out how to make a motor mount that will eject with the motor and pull out a streamer or chute. also, im surprised im the only one interested in this

Like I said, it is in the prototype stage at this time. I hope to get it labeled better.

I too was trying to figure out a way for the engine to drag out a streamer. Nothing good yet!
