Default Estes 3" Der Big Red Max decal question.

I'm getting ready to decal my 3" DRM. As for the (single) Saxon Cross on the fin: on all of the other releases of the DRM the cross was horizontal. The Box art shows it as an "X"and I'm not sure it looks right?

Opinions?

I've always set the Red Max decals perpendicular to the
body tube line. Like the original instructions and catalog pictures
showed in the 1970s.

That's one time I'd ignore the box art and do it right. Keep the cross upright.

Yes, it's better that way. It doesn't make sense to have the "der Red Max" decal set up level and then on the facing fin have the cross set at an angle.

Yes, very much better looking. That box art variation is down right goofy looking.

If it ever stops snowing here I'll be able to get that second coat of red on my bigger Max.
Nice job!

Balkenkreuz. Saxon cross is a bit different.

The bigger question is why did Estes go cheap and not provide ALL of the DRM decals. Not a single fin should be naked!
