Falcon 9 Best Images Yet
Another perfect boost from Falcon 9 tonight. They kept the onboard camera looking down for the entire last portion of recovery. We got to see it go transonic through the cloud base and stick a perfect landing. I haven't seen every landing, but this was by far the best imagery I've seen so far.

The vapor passing through the grid fins while it came through the clouds was pretty cool

Yes, very impressive video of the flight. I was particularly impressed that while flying (falling?) back, the camera view showed the white contrail formed during boost. It took me a moment to realize what the white spot was until I realized that it was the contrail and not a natural cloud.

When I first saw it I thought, how could a piece of debris that looked like ice or insulation be falling as fast as the booster and stay in camera view? Then the slightly pixelated image cleared and I realized it was the contrail. That's the pitfall of poor wi-fi at the fire station.

Space-X had another successful launch Yesterday, the one that was scrubbed due to weather on the same day that the above Falcon-9 flew. It was the 60th successful recovery of their Falcon 9 boosters, this time landing on the recovery barge. While space will never be "routine" in our lifetimes, Space-X is pushing as close to it as they can get.
