Default Vintage build: MRC Concept II 1/17 scale Trail Blazer

I haven't done a build thread in a while (you're welcome) so here's something completely different--to me anyway: a vintage MRC Concept II Trail Blazer in 1/17 scale.

Despite the kit's age--I'm guessing approx. 30 years--the parts and the single waterslide decal are in good condition. The only detriment is that the (4) balsa fins of the sustainer are quite fossilized, so I'll remake them from 3/32" basswood.

This is a pretty decent scale kit...I have one in my build pile. Looking forward to see how it goes for you.

And yes, thanks for the color photos!

First, the (3) quick change, bayonet style, engine mounts.

Talk about over-engineered! From left to right: 24mm mount, 18mm mount with "FX" side motor mounts, and a single 18mm mount.

Jeff,

Let me know if you want me to break off the MRC as a company chatter and the Enya engine talk in to different threads?
