They were not made by Estes.
They had their own equipment.
Nozzles totally different than Estes.
All had cardboard cups over the ejection charge.
Their 18mm D8-3 and D8-0 are some of my all-time favorite 18mm motors.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm surprised that Cox made their own motors.

Additional; pics . . .

Huge appreciation to all of you for your help in identifying this rocket and also providing scans of the documents. Also, very interesting regarding the Cox motors.

If I hear about this rocket flying, I'll let you know. hopefully the owner comes out to a club launch and I can check it out in person.

Thanks again!

Sandy.

If I remember from past discussions, Cox had an accident in their motor making plant that killed one or two employees, which, if I also remember, eventually led to them pulling out of the model rocket business.

Initiator001 here on the forum can tell you much more about it or point to a previous thread where the Cox story/motor issue is discussed in more detail.
