I had plenty of lower stages left. It was always the top stage that I never saw again.

I saw someone launcing a Commanche at Whitakers a few years ago. He was launching a D12-0/C6-0/C6-7 combination in moderate wind. I warned him about the potential loss. He assured me that he had flow that combination many times and had always gotten all the stages back. After some final launch rod adjustments and a beautiful flight, he went out to pick up all three pieces within 50 feet of the launch pad. I told him he was very lucky and he replied that they always did that. I started to ask him about some stock picks.

Last year I helped out at a hobby shop build and fly session. One of the guys selected a Comanche 3 and dig a very good job of construction.

At the flying session, he chose that D/C/C combination. I broke it to him that he'd probably never see the complete model again.

Yeah, you guessed it. Got all three pieces back. Beginner's luck.

The download for the 2010 has been corrected so that you can see the pages as they are in the print catalog, all images can be seen on one page.

Check out the corrected download.

I can surely attest to that. The prize table was full of Estes kits. (All decent stuff, too.*) I brought home a nifty (and big!) new Super Neon XL kit.

* Lots of stuff from others as well, especially FlisKits and Semroc. I caught a glimpse of a good number of prizes that were donated by others, too, but I can't recall specifics now; it was all flying off the table as door prizes so fast.

I had no problem with the first version, but the second, seamless version of the catalog is even better.

Hmmm...a slow electric drill with a non-ferrous bit could make booster motors out of those...

The Commanche-3 is still in single stage configuration.

ok, has anyone actually seen the print catalog ?

the website witht he pdf version states " we do NOT have a print catalog " explicitly.

also, I had written them about the split images on the4 pdf veresion being hard to discern and glad they fixed it - must be I was not the only one who disliked that part -

however, I have yet to recieve an email response, nor a print catalog to acknowledge my writing.

still waiting for any of the new kits to show up locally.
