?..and I was reminded again of that today by one of my idiot neighbors. She was sitting on our front porch talking with The Vixen. Everything seemed normal until the aforementioned neighbor noticed several jet contrails above us and commented that these streaks are being sprayed by the government to control the weather.

I?m not making this up, and she?s not the only idiot neighbor of our?s that believes this.

Has any one else heard of this ridiculous conspiracy?

I explained to her what the contrails were and how they were formed. She replied that they didn?t exist until the 1990?s.

Funny, I?ve seen them all my life. Even B-17 bombers left them in at high altitude during WWII. She told me I was wrong. I had to go inside, laugh my butt off, and then have a drink before noon just to clear my head. I?m glad The Vixen is a woman of science.

Sorry....couldn't resist. Yes, sadly, it is hard to believe the things that some people DO believe. It is maddening at times, but also sad that some folks are either so gullible about some things or are so thinly supplied with gray matter to know the difference. I'm not sure whether to feel mad at them or pray for them for better knowledge and discernment about such things.

Well known in aviation circles - known as "Chem Trails" instead of contrails.

There are a few photo-shopped images out there with a flight deck switch labeled 'Chem Trail Generator' of words to that effect.

There's a thought. Suggest holding their breath long under guise of letting those trails pass but secretly hoping that it would kill off some the stupid cells between their ears. But then again, you can't fix stupid.

Unfortunately my sister tried to convince me that Chem Trails exist.

She forwarded me pix to prove it. One was a large passenger plane (say a 767) full of tanks

I actually remember when that photo came out. It was a test aircraft for the 767. We make a system on that aircraft.
For some reason the engineers felt pumping water from tank to tank to simulate different weight distributions was better than using a mix of Sumo wrestlers and high school geek squad members moving around to see how they would impact the flight characteristics....

Well, they *are* trails of chemicals.

In this case, it's most likely dihydrogen monoxide in its solid form.

di - = 2, mon- =1

2 hydrogen, 1 oxygen = H20.


Since it's water ice at 30,00 feet, wouldn't it be MUCH more effective to put mind control chemicals in our drinking water? *That* would increase the chances of the chemicals arriving in effective concentrations...

I have a parttime coworker who has a spraying business as his main gig. I tried the distance/effectiveness scenario on him, but he wasn't buying it.
