2018 (and 2022) is based on the Mighty Mites Maverick. The Maverick style appeared later in the 2006 catalog as the Sting Ray, catalog pic and product picture attached. 2018 ad and family portrait.

I like the unusual, the off beat, the avant-garde. No 3/4 FNC for me!

I do, I got them all from Estes except I only got the red one in 2014. In 2014 they were $3.99 which I thought was high, so I just got the one I wanted for the tree. I got the others from 2014 later.

In addition, my kids were little when the Mighty Mites RTF and Super Shot kits came out so we flew many of those, so as soon as the ornaments appeared I saw the connection. Although cute they are best as ornaments as the bodies melt and tend to split apart.

2020(and 2016) is based on Mighty Mites Blitz. Blitz appeared later as Slash in the Race set, and Shark Attack in a Super Shot set. The 2020 email ad and family portrait. See 2016 for Catalog Pics. This time around in purple, green and red.

2021 (and 2015) ornaments look like they are based on Silver from the Ninja and Silver Mighty Mites set from 2000, Silver was re-liveried as Space Hauler then Freaky Flyer a few years later and a high power upscale of it was flown. Space Hauler was Reliveried in red for a Super Shot Set. Below is the 2021 Estes Facebook ad and 2021 family portrait. See 2015 for catalog pics. This time around in blue, black and silver.

That is so cool! They are in a catalog but I never saw them for sale, I assumed they had never been produced, sice different styles of mighty mites also have those names. Added to post #11 https://www.oldrocketforum.com/show...24&postcount=11 .
