They were not made by Estes.
They had their own equipment.
Nozzles totally different than Estes.
All had cardboard cups over the ejection charge.
Their 18mm D8-3 and D8-0 are some of my all-time favorite 18mm motors.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm surprised that Cox made their own motors.

Huge appreciation to all of you for your help in identifying this rocket and also providing scans of the documents. Also, very interesting regarding the Cox motors.

If I hear about this rocket flying, I'll let you know. hopefully the owner comes out to a club launch and I can check it out in person.

If I remember from past discussions, Cox had an accident in their motor making plant that killed one or two employees, which, if I also remember, eventually led to them pulling out of the model rocket business.

Initiator001 here on the forum can tell you much more about it or point to a previous thread where the Cox story/motor issue is discussed in more detail.
