Stefanj's choices above are delicious.

How about a nice greasey pork sandwich served in a smouldering dirty ashtray ?

I'd agree except that it's gotten really hard to find good sourdough bread lately (at least around the Seattle area - Seattle Sourdough bakery used to be good but has gone down hill as of late).

Thai food—especially Pad SeeEw.
Prime ribeye steak.
Frenched rack of lamb—but only if I prepare it myself, with an oil, rosemary, and garlic marinade, and served blood rare.
Smoked king salmon.
Elk (any preparation).
Fried chicken gizzards.
Homemade onion rings.
Fish and chips.
Hush puppies.
Portillos Italian beef sandwich (dry, with mozzarella).
Koegels Viennas.

...and now I need a snack and a stiff drink.

Montreal smoked meat on rye with ball park mustard and dill pickle on the side (and plenty of beer).

We have goetta here in the Cincinnati area, one of the great breakfast treats known to man. I'm looking forward to trying scrapple.

The key word to scrapple is SCRAP, which is where it belongs; in the SCRAP HEAP.
BLECCHHHH.

I actually have to leave the house when she fries scrapple because it smells so bad. The aroma reminds me of India OR a dog food plant in August.
