I found this stainless steel ruler at Sears about ten years ago. It has become one of my favorite tools, especially with the "left-handed" sub-zero scale.

I did a quick Google of that ruler. It looks like it's still sold at Home Depot.

(hypnotic voice) If you wave a lightening rod (it's part of a magician's standard equipment, I'm sure) over an object, you gradually reduce gravity's hold on said object, which will allow it to levitate, and thereby appear almost weightless...(/hypnotic voice)
