I have never seen that one.

It is with out a question the same rocket as the America/Pegasus/Athena from the 90s (Early E2X models) and the instructions are almost identical. (Annoying as I am trying to clone all of those kits). Based on the lists and instruction design I would guess it was a 88-90/91 kit or that era.

Found a picture of the kit on google, the link no longer works though but you can still see the picture.

I just found one of these sets last weekend and took it over to my storage unit. Next time I am over there I will grab it and see if I can find any information from the box. I can confirm that it is almost exactly the same as the America/scorpion starter set, save for the decals.

That would be great!

Any chance of a scan of the decals or, failing that, a good picture of the rocket from the box?

I will scan the decals assuming no one here beats me to it. I should be going back over there later this week.

I have a feeling you are several lengths ahead of everyone down the stretch. Most of us have never heard of the kit.

I thought the name came up a few years ago, but a YORF search didn't bring up anything. It may have been discussed on r.m.r, Rocketry Online, or Rocketry Planet....or it most likely is just my imagination.

If you are trying to clone all these kits, consider the Estes 'Mad Science' which uses the fin can the others do. One decal and one built kit are known, more info here: https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/showthread.php?t=16529

Wow. I completely missed this. As RTF decals go, this is a pretty cool set. The fact that it's a little bit rare doesn't hurt either.

I searched again today for Mad Science rocket and again only came up with the worthpoint listing. Did estes do small custom runs? It is a cool set, I was searching for decals on ebay and grabbed it.
