I talked with my brother Bob, he said that my brother's Howard and Tom where launching model rockets in the early 1960's he remembers them having tubes that looked like T&T.
Bob told me that Howard used up all of the engines with the rockets that he had already and did not build the Scout kit. Now I do think that this may be a Astron Scout Kit.
I think this is part of a K1-E Set that came with engines and may be in the wrong tube?
I don't know if it was opened then put in the wrong tube or if it could of had came from Estes packed in the mismarked tube. with me I don't care about the kit inside or whatever I like it as it is a mystery and great conversation piece.

Open the stinking tube! It’s potentially valuable—but NOT if you don’t know for sure what’s in it.

Now open the GD tube. We’ll talk you through it if necessary.

Schrödinger's Tube.

It's simultaneously extremely valuable and worthless, until it is opened.

I have thought NOT and have been contacted by "Others" and told not to open it, some have expressed interest in owning the Mystery Tube. was told the tube does contain a K1 Astron Scout Kit as was part of the K1-E Set. But for some reason was shipped separate of the engines. The K1-E kits where shipped with both the motor tube and the kit tube bundled together by the shipping label. the tube I have is clean and there is no sign of there ever having been a shipping label.
Why it is marked K E is still not clear.
