Red face

I was stationed at Pease AFB after coming in from overseas. Been to Manchester. Married a NH girl and lived in Hancock for a bit, her father and mother lived there. He worked the Peabody farm. We later lived in Keene. I worked at Miniature Precision Bearings in Keene. Loved that state. Unfortunately we divorced and my buds convinced me to move back to NJ. Ha, first time I ordered a milkshake the girl frothed up mike and chocolate syrup and set it in front of me. I asked where the ice cream etc was, she said "oh, you want a frapp." Go figure. . Don't get me started on grinder vs hoagie.

They're not bad--as long as it's not made too sweet.

Yer a regulation RIOT tbzep.
Mayhem Agitators, Inc could use you in the Chaos/Havoc/Mayhem Corps.

Up here in Michigan, I see them called Subs, Submarines, and Grinders, but never hoagies.
Had a giant 15" Lumberjack Grinder last night.
Pepperoni, Sausage, Roast Beef, Cappicolla Ham, Bacon, and Salami.
Lettuce, Tomato, Green/Black Olives, Red Italian sauce, and a TON of yellow pepper rings on Garlic bread roll.

No STINKIN' Kraut on it either.
That GARBAGE should be illegal as should be usage of Cabbage in ANYTHING but Cole slaw.

gh, that's a grinder. Down here a a real hoagie, on an Italian hard roll, (named from Hog Island in the Delaware river) hoagie/sub is an Italian, three meats, provolone, lto, oregano and oil, and if you like vinegar. This is the original, from the workers there, pooling their money to get a big sandwich to share among them, at the deli when they went for lunch taking the Hog Island Ferry to the mainland. This can (now somewhat later), include cheesesteaks, in their infinite variety, or what they call chicken cheese steaks, which is shredded chicken, fixed up the same as the cheese steaks. Buffalo chicken steaks are great with the blue cheese added, nothing else but a good Italian hard roll.

So what did you think of my state of granite?

I use to take my family to Pease AFB to see the F-111 Aardvarks take off and land.

BTW... frapp has a final "E" just to tee you off!

Frappe.

It is also pronounce "frapp-pay". IDK why?

Ha, I did forget that there was an "e" at the end of frappe. If it was pronounced with the accent on the "e' like my Canuck father in law, it would be "frapp-pay. He would sometimetimes slip and pronounced it that way. NH is a beautiful state, and I have regretted ever moving back down to to NJ. But that's the way it went. I miss the farm (never knew how hard that work is with a hundred head of milkers, horses and a few hogs. Hard work, but good and satisfying work.), the sugaring I helped my ex father-in law do, the fishing and hunting we did. Loved to hunt pheasant. It is the best tasting fowl anywhere. The brookies were big and the lakes /ponds had some big bass. The folks I ran into were friendly, helpful and had a wicked dry sense of humor. You are lucky. VT is another good state, as is Maine and Montana, places where I would choose to live.
