Default Interesting color choice

I'm guessing that you plan to launch this in the winter, with lots of snow on the ground?

And that you will probably not try a night flight?

Either way, it looks good, nice job!

Tomorrow, if all goes well. I have a nice, bright orange streamer for it. They are having a night flight tomorrow, but I won't be sticking around for that. I might dig out a couple of my night flight birds just to show them off.

I've got a case of D11-9's that I bought from Mike Hellmund years ago.

The D11-9 has less total impulse than the D12, but a lot more than a C.
Would have liked a D11-5; more than a C but can be recovered in an area too small for a D12 in a BT-55 based rocket such as a Cherokee-D, A20 Demon, Skybolt, or Sky Raider.

Rocksim says the coast phase is 6.7s for a D12, and 6.5s for a D11, so the D12-7 is a more optimal choice.

This is a quicky project that I just finished this morning. Lee Reep sent me a bunch of vinyl stickers from his Cricut, and now I want one. I really sweated the paint job. Thanks to Lee and to Hobby Lobby for the perfectly timed Goblin sale.😎

I love that color variant! Nice job.

E12-6 Flight was great, but the ejection charge snapped the elastic. I saw the body land, but none of us saw the nose cone and its 7' streamer come down. Walked out into the field toward where the body came down and found the nose cone core sampled. Brushed it off and it was good as new. Took another 20 minutes to locate the body.

No higher than Bill was when he decided to stuff an E in a tiny rocket that flies good on A's!
