So sorry this happened to you. I don’t hate very many people—but I DO hate a fraud and a liar.

I despise frauds and scamulations.
Being a capable liar is an essential tool in a Poker player's toolbox. That's half the fun of the game. Telling the opposite story when holding a pat hand or a bluff. Deliberately acting weak with a strong hand, or strong when bluffing. I use reverse tells all the time to get other players to do what I want.

The ad was found when using my yahoo email. Never click on them, the one time I do, it is a scam.
Yes, the photo was for sure the Lego rocket. Looks like they used some kind of cotton, or Christmas snow decoration for the smoke/steam. Thinking I might be able to reproduce something that will work. Won't be using the Lego Rocket. If I'm going to spend that kind of cash, I'll buy an Estes one for flight again. I've built three of them already back in the 70's (1), 80's (2). Another one would be fun to do. The Saturn V is an awesome rocket. I totally want one to go in my hobby room. Found the Lego Saturn V for $119 on-line. The fins as noted and the tower are the give aways what those P.O.S. used. Wonder if yahoo might be interested in knowing they are supporting scammers... Thank you for identifying where the rocket came from. Now I understand why Paypal was so quick to give my money back. Others probably complained as well. Best regards, Mike Bauer |

Maybe my word usage could have been better. IMO, lying and bluffing as a gaming strategy is not the quite the same as being a liar as a title. Like the creep that blatantly advertises a large SV lamp with absolutely no intention of shipping it. Or (worse) someone that bears false witness against a neighbor.

When I first saw this ad at least a year ago, I asked Robert Pearlman from collectspace.com what he knew about it. He identified it as a scam made up of stolen images from Instagram and elsewhere. I reported the ad to Facebook as a scam, but it keeps resurfacing.
Facebook owns a good chunk of responsibility for not policing their platform, but I guess Zuckerburg was too busy wakeboarding or dodging taxes to do anything about it. Caveat emptor. If you ever have a doubt about a space related product. Rob Pearlman at collectspace is a good resource.

Got a Paper Saturn V Already Built
Just realized I have the perfect rocket already made, a semi-scale Saturn V. That was a test build for part fit before building the one in my avatar. The visions are rolling in, my mind is working big time on this.
Dropping all current projects, this is going to happen ASAP. I'll do some experimenting, if it works, will create a PDF for everyone to try. Got an idea for the steam/smoke base. Led lights and more realistic flames..... JoAnn's in Soldotna, AK has some sparkly items that should work for the steam cloud. Lit by orange/Red LED's and it could be awesome. Now that I've seen it, I want one...... Going to get some good out of this! Mike Last edited by mbauer : 07-11-2021 at 03:27 PM. Reason: Vision of how to make |

While Looking For Similar Project-Found These photos
Decided to show my Christmas Santa Launcher.
Found some of my other projects. Note the Virgin Hypersonic Air Pressure rocket. SR71 Habu is 7FT long glider, the X-15 is 4-ft long, rubber band powered models range from 4ft wingspan (my RV-6 paint job was created by using this simple design to test the graphics-then had brain storm to rubber power it for flying-flies great!), P40 is 3ft wingspan, P51/P47 are 2ft wingspan. Not shown is 5ft wingspan P38 Lightning. Pulsejet powered paper airplane project prototype-will be enlarged to 5ft wingspan and ready to fly over this coming winter. Was going to do last winter, but plans changed. Small stomp rockets that have flown several times with second Virgin Hypersonic photo. Mike |
