I just wanted to supply two images of the Vesta Model. The fins have a thin card stock applied to both sides so they are pretty strong. The dark blue shows the shape of the card stock. The nose cone was fun to design since it's a bit different then your usual cones. It's also a very long nose cone.

That is cool looking indeed. The ad copy that Bob posted at the beginning of this thread doesn't do it justice. This one will be a must get as soon as it's available.

I am slightly surprised to see a motor hook rather than a screw-on retainer though.

Be sure to write "Mars Shredder" on the flight card...

Excellent! I now have a purpose for my remaining cans of MM Sublime Green enamel!

That Super Mars Snooper was supposed to be available in JULY.
It's now September. Where is it available ?

Jeff, have you watched James Duffy’s YouTube painting video on the DARC-1? I don’t have the kit yet, but James is responsible for me getting back into airbrushing. Not to mention investing in another airbrush, and at least $100 in Tamiya acrylic paints.

Love the acrylics. I have used them over Tamiya lacquer, Rustoleum enamels, and unknown older paints (practicing on older rockets).

I like Tamiya Lacquer.
I wouldn't use water base acrylic nonsense to paint anything via brush or airbrush.
No VOC base=NO PAINT in my book.

Amazing how these threads get way off topic. Anyway, it seems Estes has the Super Mars Snooper and the Vesta Intruder kits in their warehouse. They are shipping them to hobby distributors (actually one distributor got them already). Strange that they haven't made the available for sale on their website yet.
