Not MPC. MRC. And I would gladly take every Iron Man kit you could provide for $25 each. It seems you've never owned an MRC Concept II kit. They were very high quality and had several outstanding features that made them a premium kit.

I still kick myself for passing on a Buy-It-Now MRC Iron Man for $30, in 2019. 4 different Concept II kits were all BIN at that price, I picked up just the Standard ARM, the only one I was missing. Haven't built any of them, because then I won't have them sealed in the box. Reminds me of the M*A*S*H Incubator episode.

Oh, I'll build them eventually, once I retire.

Those three MRC kits, the Trailblazer II, Iron Man and Standard Arm were my favorites, I still have my Trailblazer II, never did get the iron man....

Standard ARM on eBay now. Bit pricey at $99.

Especially pricey seeing as none of those kits are worth anywhere near a C-note. EVERRR

It is pricey and what one wants to get and buy is certainly in the eye of the beholder, but the MRC Concept II kits ARE very nice kits. They are far and above the regular MRC kits from the late 80s, and are fairly 'deluxe' and high quality compared to ANY model rocket kit of that era.

We are all entitled to our opinions (and I fully respect that), but I personally think yours is a bit harsh for the MPC Concept II line. For the other MPC kits, agreed (totally; what junk). However (IMO), the Concept II kits were higher quality, had unique swappable motor mounts and were generally of more interesting designs/subjects.

Prices like $180 for a Trailblazer are just plain stupid-high, but if introduced as production kits today they would probably be $35 or more. OOP for decades , $50-60 wouldn't seem unreasonable.

Yeah, Buzz. I would happily pay $50-$60 for an Iron Man kit.

BTW, another favorite group of kits for me are the ones put out by Peter Alway. And of those, to me the best one is the Astrobee 1500. A really nice scale kit with loads of teensy laser cut basswood parts and a beautiful big balsa nose cone.

Totally agree. Picked up one at the NARAM auction this year, with Peter sitting right behind me!

It's on the build pile for this winter; hopefully I can get him to autograph it at the next NARAM.
