I have flown my Semroc Mars Lander on D13 reloads in the 18/20 RMS, and it screams off the pad. I built it after getting the 18/20, so I left it with the stock 18mm mount.

The decals for the Outlander are from Tango Papa.

Very nice!

Looks like some of the New Quest 18mm motors could be just what any 18mm motor mounted Landers could really use.

I fly my Semroc Mars Lander on the, now no longer contest certified, Apogee/Aerotech D10's. Wonderful motor for the 18 mm version of the model.

I built this Outlander in 2009. It took a lot of reaming, sanding, bleeding, and swearing, but I finally got it converted to 24mm and got the 24mm mount to pass through the plastic nozzle.

On it's maiden flight it went horizontal as soon as it left the rod and flew onto I-88 where it was flattened by a semi.

Bummer.

Like I said, a D12 isn't enough.
D24 minimum, preferably E28/E30.

I would have to label that one as butt-ugly.

Flies only slightly better than most PMCs.
On a turd C6-3, a POWR-PRANGGG is virtually assured.

Me likee when others use Trash Bag-N'-Broom "recovery" of parts in smithereens.
