What's crazy is that incompetent fool probably goes around telling his friends and acquaintances what a jerk you are for making him do his job right.

Around my area, Fed Ex is the ONLY way to go.

I don't think the Nissan would have gotten you very far with a quart of wine in the tranny.

The ONLY package I have ever had go missing was a FedEx package in January of this year. I saw the truck in the neighborhood that day about the time tracking said it was delivered, but it was not delivered to MY house. Never did get the package. For all the grief USPS gets sometimes, they have NEVER lost a package of mine. Earl

When I watched my AR-15 upper receiver/barrel get shipped to Mass and get delivered, along with signature, I decided there was some severe incompetency in USPS, at least on that shipment. My replacement package had a computer printed shipping label with clearly recognizable state and zipcode so they couldn't blame it on bad handwriting!

I just read where a second FedEx dump site has been found in Alabama about 75 miles from the first one. It's just short of two dozen packages, so this driver isn't as dedicated as the first one.

Idjits can work in any organization.
UPS: There was a local video someone recorded from their cell phone a few years ago. A UPS truck pulls into an alley. The driver comes out and opens the back and starts tossing out the packages. And I mean TOSSING out, swearing the whole time. Apparently the load shifted and it was all jumbled up. He starts kicking a few parcels. After he removes the parcels he tosses them back in. When the video aired on the local news the driver was fired and a spokesman had to apologize. Fedex: On two occasions the Fedex driver delivered my parcels to the wrong address. One was the same house number but different street a block down from mine. The street names are not even similar to each other. Also when they deliver the parcel they don't even knock on the door or ring the bell, they just leave it on the porch and slink away. There have been times when I'm at home and a parcel has been delivered and I don't even know about it until hours later, when I check the tracking #. How hard is it to ring the bell? USPS: My current postman is great. But a few years ago when I was living at a different location I had a postman deliver a collectible porcelain plate. I saw his truck park out front so I went to open the door. As I was opening the door I caught him sliding the box on the concrete driveway towards my garage steps! WTF! I gave the kid an earful. Told him if the plate is damaged his supervisor will be hearing from me. He sheepishly apologized. It's not the organization, it's the person who's servicing you. Hopefully you never get stuck with an idjit.

Our FedEx folks are doing the same thing except they just drop the box in the driveway between the two garage doors. When they are renting those small vans, you can't hear them at all. If they are renting the big Penske/Ryder/UHaul trucks, the dogs go nuts, but they still drop the package in the driveway and take off. UPS at least puts stuff on the porch. My two regular USPS guys are good folks. One of them was delivering one day and "felt" something was wrong at my mother's house. He pulled in the driveway and found her where she had fallen and broken her hip. He called me and stayed with her until I got there and we got her on the ambulance.
