I don't think any of us expected (true) Semroc kits to become collectable so soon.
(Miss you Carl).

Default Semroc NARAM 2003 Sky Hook found!

See the first post, I found a NARAM 2003 Sky Hook! All four early release NARAM kits are documented in this thread now.

I know Carl meant well and many of us value our low-number kits, but my impression is that on Ebay low number kits really don't bring much of a premium.

Your impressions?

Prices on Semroc kits (numbered or not) seem to bounce all over the place, unlike vintage Estes kits which almost always bring big prices now.

Is there any collectibility difference between "Knightdale, NC" kits and "Dayton, OH" kits?

Wolf,
The production numbers were on the Knightdale kits. i don't believe Randy has issued them for his new kits.

I think Randy's production values are fine but some folks prefer the older, Carl kits.

My impression is that those who prefer the Knightdale kits are those interested in building them.

Randy numbered the Goblin kit when it was re-released, not sure about the rest of the eRockets releases. I prefer the NC kits just for nostalgia. Randy’s kits are comparable, or even improved with interlocking parts like the Spaceman. I picked up the Spaceman, Scissor Wing, OT, and micro Mars Lander, and hope some of his other kits come back.

At erockets there was a transition period for some kits, the evidence is I have a kit with a NC facecard, and a Dayton hang tag. I imagine Randy got a pile of parts facecards and hangtags and used them to make new kits.

In my kit list I separated out the NC kits from the Dayton kits because I consider them totally separate now, the NC kits were a labor of love.
