Default Estes MAV fin wanted

On a recent flight the landing pad foot and connecting rod was chopped off off one fin of my MAV in flight and lost. It flies poorly now without the foot pad drag on that side. I am hoping someone has an intact MAV fin they no longer need, please let me know.

Estes should include an extra leg, or at least sell a set of replacements. Mine suffered a lost pad on its 2nd flight. I may just fabricate a replacement. I sure do not want to order another kit for a replacement leg. Although that nose cone would be a good candidate for a scratch-built lander.

It is going to be tough to add a new foot, but I prefer to try to repair it over sniping off the other feet.

Hmm, I guess I should've saved parts from mine that suffered a D16 CATO. The fins were fine, but the fin can was shot. It is one of the better looking e2x / beginner models.

If I can’t find one I am going to try to fix it, it sounds like the foot breaking off is a common problem. I hate to cannibalize another rocket for the fin but maybe that is the way to go in the future.

Maybe a larger parachute is needed for these.

It’s a nice design, but I had to paint mine.

That could be, I did not realize it was damaged until after I flew it again so don’t know if it was the landing (soft grass) or the chute and cord ripped it off.
