"Where do you get your stands?"

The clear stands appear to be the ones offered by QModeling. IIRC, they will laser etch them, too. It looks like Bob had his done up with Enerjet on them.

Hopefully bob will chime in on the stands.

Chas

Thanks, Mario. That's quite a compliment coming from someone who builds some really nice rockets.

As Chas stated, the stands are from Q Modeling. You can buy them in 18mm, 24mm & 29mm motor tube sizes. The price is $50 for six.

The name plates were extra $$$. I think it was another $50 for six. I had three Enerjet 1340 and three Enerjet Nike Ram plates made. The font style used by Enerjet is not current/modern so Tom at Q Modeing had to spend quite a bit of time re-creating the font. I hope he saved it in his computer, I may want stands for some future Enerjet kit clones I may build.

I've attached a close-up picture of the stands and name plates. I hope you can read them.

Mario,

Thanks for posting the un-cropped picture. It was necessary to trim it for use in the magazine.

Only a few people know that the group photograph of my Enerjet models that ended up in the magazine was not the original picture I submitted.

Mark Mayfield contacted me upon receiving my 'original' picture and told me that it wasn't quite the "look" he wanted for the magazine.

Sigh.

So, I went and re-arranged the models and took another series of pictures, one of which is featured in the article.

Just so that everyone can see the "original" Enerjet group picture I submitted, it is shown, below.

Now, you tell me which one looks better!

Mark can really be picky when it comes to his photographs - I like the original best.

I'm with you, Bob. The original is the best. You can't top a cereal killer!

Bob,

Since our magazines haven't arrived yet, why don't you tease us with some info you had to leave out of the article, like maybe how you and Scott ended up working there.

Gus,

I think some folks have a little confusion, here.

The article I wrote which appears in the latest issue of LAUNCH is about a company named EnerJET. Enerjet was a subsidary of Centuri Engineering and existed between 1968-1976 (Give or take a year).

The company that Scott and I worked for was EnerTEK which, also, had Lee Piester as President. It lasted from 1987-1988. It produced a really neat catalog but nothing else.

The Enertek story will have to wait awhile before anyone will see that in print.

Bob

Second time you've said that...

Why will it *have* to wait? Are you waiting for some statute of limitations?
