Or did you mean for snaquin to send you the other scans?

Heh, no, I was just being lazy. I just grabbed it.

I second that!

I was one of the other bidders. I'd fully intended to make it a flyer.

Please send us the tube lengths and maybe our resident decal or resident vinyl makers can produce reproductions of the wrap for those of us who lack the ability to produce one ourselves.

And maybe add an inch to each end so that the decal/wrap covers the entire payload tube thereby eliminating finishing.

Just a thought.

To Timorley,

If you are asking about the sizes of the body tube lengths on the Enerjet 1340:
The lower body tube is 13" long.
The upper tube is 8" long.
Both are ST-13 tubes available from Semroc.

The strange thing is the coupler. The Enerjet 1340 coupler had only .10" exposed between the two tubes.

I got my MARS Project from Roger Smith at jonrocket.com. The "Centuri Rockets" wrap around on the upper body was glued and taped to the 8" upper body tube. I tried to remove it but after all these years it was a gummy mess. I ended up cutting the 8" tube from the original (yellowing) lower tube and ordering a new 13" length from Semroc for the new lower tube.
It's being built for 24mm Es and Fs so it'll fly somewhat like the original Enerjet version. Yes, I know the Enerjets were 29mm. I still have two E24-7 Enerjets in storage.

Thank you very much for the sizes! The Mars Project is what I was interested in.

Comrades:

I hate to go necro on this post, but I thought I'd clear something up: on the MARS Project rocket, the body tubes were 12" and 7" respectively. I have one in a sealed bag that I've had for a couple of years and one that I picked up on eBay recently that had been converted to flight that I'm going to try and "restore". Both of them have 12" and 7" tubes. All the plastic is blue in the bagged kit. The flight model has blue fins and white adapter and nose. I kind of agree with GH that an Enerjet-style treatment would be appropriate so maybe it'll be more of a restor-mod.

I was wondering if any of the previous posters did get a vinyl replacement for the wrap made and by which provider/vendor?

MarkB. sorry for the late reply on this I have been off the forum for a bit getting through some health and work issues since my last visits. I did see the kit you picked up when it was listed on eBay but it already had a bid on it so I passed on bidding since I have two of these still in the bags and the built kit that I posted about in this thread.

I looked but couldn’t find my spare set of vinyl decals that I had made. I was going to send to you at no charge and get a couple more sets in the future since I won’t be building the bagged kits anytime soon. I used the cleaned up version by Solomoriah of my scan in this thread but I don’t remember exactly where I had them made but I suspect it was by Graphix n Stuff by Dave Rose that is where I obtained most all my cut vinyl from

http://graphixnstuff.com/vinyl/decals/index.html

I never used his web form I just emailed him at the link on the site. He does great work and small projects. I used him for the EnerJet logo on many of my clone models and the vinyl body tube wraps on my Centuri AEC two stage rocket on the payload section.

I’ll keep looking for my spare set to send you but I am doubtful that I will locate it I checked pretty much everywhere that I could think of but can’t locate the envelope.

Vinyl for these were by Graphix n Stuff
