Default CJS Aviation

Not wanting to start a heady thread - something about horses, death, and beating springs to mind, but has anyone heard anything, at all, from CJS Aviation (Sheri's HotRockets) in the last few months? The last communication I have dates back to April 20, 2009. I have since been sending an email (without bounce) to the CJS Aviation contact address and hear nothing. Since I am into the company for $204.00 since 02/16/2009.

Do not want to hear harangues, just if there has been anything in the way of communication or deliveries this year?

I have a similar question: has anyone ordered anything from CJS Aviation in the past few months and received the product? I would like to pick up a couple of their rockets, but I'm concerned that I will never get them.

I have not seen nor heard anything out of that company in several months, even on ebay.
Seems as though someone may have packed up their toys and left the sandbox.
Wonder why ????

I had thought about getting a Shuttle from them but with the help of Sandman and tubes from Semroc and Loc I am building my own.

Yes, I got the parts last Monday or Tuesday. They are great. I will try and send a picture when it is completed. I am waiting on the acrylic tubes and sheeting to build the fin sections out of from a company I found online. I have the tubes cut and are working on the orbiter balsa build up. I do have another orbiter idea I am working on. It will depend what I get the best glide out of on what I use.

Five suggestions to get a better glide from an orbiter:

1 - Make it light!

2 - Cheat on the wing area. Make the wingspan larger than scale. 99% of people will never know the wing is oversized, unless it is way overdone. The larger wing will lower the “wing loading” (mass divided by wing area) so it will glide better.

3 - Make it light!

4 - Make it light!

5 - Oh, you know by now what #5 was going to say......

Good luck with it.
