I was almost the first to post saying just that, but since I am not one of the folks to hang out with Vern and the Estes employees a lot, I hung back and simply rated the thread 5 stars first.

But your comment is exactly how I feel. I get this sense of intense justice and homecoming from this news. Kudos to all involved. God bless Vern and Gleda Estes.

I recently reread the old copies of the Estes Employee newsletter. Vern was both a very traditional manager and a people oriented person.

This is indeed good news. Thank you for sharing, Carl!

Hopefully it portends MUCH better things for Estes to come, all around. I know when I was in Colorado and stopped by Estes 2 years ago, I got a distinct sinking feeling-- like the company that time forgot, on it's last legs.

Sounds like this is EXACTLY what the company needed!

I'm really glad Vern and Gleda are getting warmly welcomed back as well-- Estes Industries could do a lot worse than listening to their input!

Later! OL JR

And that's a more or less direct quote from Bill Spadafora, obviously not a mere rumor.

Here's a picture of Carl talking with Ed Brown at the NARAM-52 Sport Range.

Did you get Ed to tell you how to make B14's, Carl?

It must be true because I read it on the Internet.

You're right! That makes it even more true than it already was.

I still mourn the loss of the F62 Darkstar motors. Bob Sanford flew one at NARAM.
