I like the old school colors. I painted most of my models with flat black and either fluorescent orange or fluorescent red back in the day.

Looks good!

Talk about resurrecting an old thread......

I found my Mini-Allegro in the attic as I was clearing stuff. The paper laminate was pealing off the fins. I couldn't even remember what rocket it was.

Well, I fixed the fins and found out it was an Ace rocket (after going through my plans). I decided that wouldn't happen again. So, I had a friend do some vinyl decal work for me.....

I built the ACE Mini-Allegro 4x18mm kit back in the early '80s while stationed in Michigan. Original colors were light gray and red. After many flights and moves, I repaired and repainted it. I plan to start flying it again after standing down for the pandemic. I usually fly with two C6-5s and two C6-7s to stagger the ejection charges. Still using the original parachute. Looking to use the new Estes Startech igniters. The DARS system will light just about any starter.

Here are the plans and templates for the ACE 4x18 Mini-Allegro as supplied to me by Don Fent (barone). Thank you, Don!

If you look at the first post of this thread Don lists the Semroc parts he used back in 2011. Unfortunately, I doubt the new Semroc makes these parts anymore.
